Colon Cancer Screening, Simplified
Outdated guidelines are keeping millions of eligible Americans from life-saving blood-based screening options. It’s time for action.
The Problem
Too many Americans are behind on recommended colorectal cancer (CRC) screenings - contributing to nearly 50,000 deaths each year.1 Despite advancements in screening technology, access to newer, more convenient options is being delayed by outdated recommendations from national guideline bodies, such as the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) and American Cancer Society (ACS).
A Patient's Perspective
The Solution
Today, about 75% of people who die from CRC are not up to date with recommended screening2, but guideline bodies – such as the USPSTF and ACS we can have the opportunity to change that statistic and save lives by immediately reviewing the latest data from the FDA and updating their guidelines to include new FDA-approved screening options giving people more options and saving more lives. The time to act is now.
